Pyramid Tea Tasting & Tea Löyly w/ Kulttuurisauna

If you missed out on our favorite Japan Fest Experience last time this January, the “Rinkan Tea Sauna Ceremony” at Kulttuurisauna where we recreated this Tea and Sauna ceremony from the 1300s Muromachi period with our all star cast of Japan Fest artisans, this is your chance to have a small taste of that experience at our favorite Sauna in the city.
On Friday July 26, Uyo will be brewing tea for guests to accompany their Sauna session at the Pyramid room at Kulttuurisauna. Alongside the tea, he will also make a custom tea infused löyly with tea from his home region of Shizuoka for guests to elevate their sauna sessions. The magic of Kulttuurisauna’s amazing wood fire kiln, combined with the aromatic wonders of the tea was a true highlight of the Rinkan Tea Ceremony, and we look forward to bringing it to you again under the Finnish Sunset.
While the teas are subject to change, Uyo is currently planning on brewing three teas – Matcha, White leaf Sencha, and Awabancha.
* This event is happening inside Kulttuurisauna, during their opening hour 16-20. You do not need to reserve here. It’s €10 to enter this tea tasting event and you will pay onsite at the tasting on the event day.
