⎡A Sip of Origin – Sanjiang, Guangxi⎤ – Tea Tasting | 11 & 13.8 Sun

As the origin of tea, there are abundant tea resources in China, and together with different kinds of tea cultures inherited by generations, they formed the distinctive origin areas of tea. Like wine-tasting in popular producing areas in Europe, tea from those origin areas also appreciates “tasting”. CHAxART collaborates with representative tea brands, institutions, and tea producers from several core tea producing areas in China, as well as some tea&culture houses in Europe established by the young generation of overseas Chinese to present this gathering of tasting — “A Sip of Origin”. The gathering aims to offer a sip of tea with high quality and unique characteristics from those origin areas. All tea lovers and tea sommeliers are widely welcomed.

The gathering “A Sip of Origin” represents not only a collective of distinguishing features of tea from the origin areas but also a precious opportunity to present the subtle interaction between flavor and nature, land and humanities from those tea areas that are located a long way from Europe. Each gathering “A Sip of Origin” focuses on one of the origin areas. Our professional tea sommelier will introduce the background information of tea, such as producing area, tea tree planting, harvesting, and production methods, so that the participants will better understand the whole story of high-quality tea thoroughly.

“A Sip of Origin” presents a scenario for the visitors to roam around the origin areas of tea in China, experiencing the pure nature and the cultural connotation contained in it. The gathering also provides a place for tea lovers to exchange ideas and explore the beautiful richness of Chinese tea.

The first edition of this series we will focus on one of the tea regions in South of China – Guangxi, Sanjiang.
