TO BE | A Meditative Multi-Sensory Tea Ceremony

In November, we will be performing a special Tea and Music multi-sensory experience at the Kakegawa Castle, for the Kakegawa Chaennale, a Tea and Arts Triennale held in the heart of Shizuoka.

Inspired by the rich history of the Edo Period castle, and the surrounding tea fields, we are creating elements for all five senses, inviting you to experience this transformative power of our multi-sensory tea ceremony – blending live ambient music with a specially crafted tea ritual to awaken your senses and deepen your awareness of the present moment.

We don’t want to reveal TOO much of the details as we’d like to leave it a surprise, but we look forward to doing an experimental run through with a small group of you including our guest of honor, curator of the Kakegawa Chaennale Uyo Okabe.
