Private Personal Blending by Farmer Jun Morishita

Tea blending in Japan is an art form – the blender skillfully matches and combines the year’s harvest into a consistent tea profile year after year. This is your chance to have a personal Tea Blend made in front of you with tea maker Jun Morishita and tea producer Uyo Okabe.

First, you will taste different types of Japanese tea (including sencha, tencha, hojicha, & fermented tea), along with different brewable Japanese ingredients (such as roasted brown rice genmai, chestnut leaves, and even Shiitake mushrooms) all produced in Jun’s hometown region of Fukuroi. Next, they will ask you about your preferences and make you a personal blended tea, after which you will be able to taste and adjust. You can bring 100g of this personalized tea home after the workshop.
